Festival of Literary Diversity

Jael Richardson is the founder and Artistic Director of the Festival of Literary Diversity, a literary festival that focuses on underrepresented storytellers. In 2019, Jael and the festival were given the Freedom to Read Award by The Writers’ Union of Canada. Jael has authored a memoir and a children’s book, both called The Stone Thrower. She serves as a book columnist and guest host on CBC’s q. Her debut novel, Gutter Child, will be published in the fall of 2020 by HarperCollins Canada.
